After an almost three year hiatus from cruising, well not quite. I managed to slip in a couple of cruises in November & December 2021 and all went well. So I am off again on another Around The World (ATW) Cruise.

This is actually the 2020 ATW cruise that was cancelled in March of 2020 because of COVID. This time I guess we are all better prepared, ie vaccines and masks and just generally being more careful. Oceania has already taken anll of our Chinese ports off the itinerary because of COVID and perhaps the politics there at the moment. I hope these are the only ports we will be avoiding on our journey around the world.

We start and end in San Francisco- January 15 to July 14, and meander around the world from continent to continent. Some of the highlights for me will be seeing Antarctica and a few days off the boat in the Galapagos, and then again in Cambodia to visit Angkor Wat, and then from Mumbai India we will fly to Kathmandu in Nepal for another four day adventure. These overnight excursions off the boat are always interesting and well planned.

I expect to see old friends from previous cruises both passengers and crew. It is like old home week when we first board and find out who we will be living with for the next six months. I hope you will follow me as I cruise through history with 96 destinations within 33 countries across four continents.
